WCFCTV (Worcester City FC TV) was set up in 2008, initially to record interviews and news items at my local football club and Non League team Worcester City FC.
In 2013 the Club was scheduled to leave its home ground in Worcester and whilst there were a small amount of video of matches, Â there was no consistent flow, so with the help of one other person a process was set up to film as many games as possible.
Ten years & over 1800 videos later – including almost 400 matches, several hundred interviews and other video content there is now a wealth of documented footage of match highlights and news. The Youtube Channel has over 1750 subscribers and 1.75million views, whilst clips are also shown via other media such as Twitter and Facebook.
When the Covid19 restrictions were in place,  a LiveStream was introduced with all Home Matches (and some away matches) being filmed Live allowing all ‘locked out’ supporters to stay involved. Obstacles that were overcome along the way included: no mains power, no fixed internet connection, no cover from the elements and a few other distractions. The production has gradually improved with with Live Match Commentary and guest appearances from BBC Presenters and Local News Journalists.
Since the start of the 2021/22 Season and the re-introduction of the Saturday 3PM blackout of live games, we have continued with a live match day service for fans at the game with match highlights shown at half-time and full-time.
Can we help you with LiveStream?
